The SureSmile Aligner system is an advanced orthodontic treatment option that relies on clear, removable, and virtually invisible aligners to gradually shift your teeth into alignment. What Is the SureSmile Clear Aligner Process?
Each SureSmile treatment experience is fully customizable to a patient’s unique needs. In general, the following is what you can expect:
Planning Treatment: The SureSmile process starts with an in-office consultation. We will evaluate your unique needs and help you determine whether the transformative orthodontic procedure is right for you.
Capturing 3D Digital Scans: Our team will capture 3D digital impressions of your bite using our state-of-the-art intraoral scanner to map out your custom treatment plan and the expected length of treatment. You’ll also get to see the before and after pictures depicting the expected results.
Creating Your Clear Aligners: Your custom aligners are produced in a SureSmile digital lab using 3D printed models and robotic laser trimming, delivering an incredible fit. On average, you should receive your aligner trays 2-4 weeks after your initial consultation.
Getting Your Smile on Track: You will need to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day, only taking them out to eat, drink, or brush and floss your teeth. As you replace each set of aligners about every two weeks, you will see your teeth shifting into position, following your custom treatment plan.
Monitoring Your Progress: We are happy to conduct periodic virtual consultations from the comfort of your home. Our goal is to ensure your SureSmile aligner treatment is on track.
After Treatment: Once your treatment is complete, we’ll provide you with a SureSmile Whitening Kit, so your new straight smile shines whiter and brighter than ever. We’ll also provide you with a SureSmile Retainer to use as directed to ensure your teeth don’t move back to their original position.
